What is 14 carat gold?

At Isabel Bernard we only work with the best materials and therefore all our jewellery is made of 14 carat gold. But what exactly does that mean? 14 carat gold is an alloy. That means that it is a kind of mixture of different materials. 14 carat gold is made by mixing pure gold with copper or other metals. These metals are added to make it stronger and also more durable. It is not possible to make jewellery from pure gold because it is too soft. Want to know more? Can I shower and/or swim with my gold jewellery?

Gold is very resistant to water and chemicals but the other metals in the gold alloy can be weakened by this. It is therefore always safer not to wear jewellery while showering or swimming. We also recommend to apply your daily care, perfume and make-up before wearing your jewellery, as this can also damage it.

How do I maintain my 14 carat gold jewellery?

Gold jewellery can look less radiant after some time. Therefore it is important that you always maintain your gold jewellery. With the polishing cloth or cleaning set from Isabel Bernard you can make sure your jewellery always shines! More information on how to do this can be found here.

Can I have my jewellery engraved at Isabel Bernard?

It is of course super nice to make your gold jewellery even more personal by having it engraved. Unfortunately, we do not do this at Isabel Bernard. You could, of course, take your Isabel Bernard jewellery to your local jeweller to ask about the possibilities. However, this is at your own risk.

Does Isabel Bernard also sell separate earrings?

It sometimes happens that someone loses an earring so that your set is no longer complete. It is a pity but it can happen. We therefore sometimes get the question whether we also sell single earrings. Unfortunately, we do not sell single earrings at Isabel Bernard so you can complete your incomplete pair again. You could always buy a complete new pair of earrings so that you have one extra as a reserve!

What if a product is out of stock?

When a product is out of stock, you can leave your e-mail address with the product. As soon as the product becomes available again, you will be the first to know! How long this will take differs per product. Note: by leaving your e-mail address, you also automatically sign up for our newsletter. 

Can I still return a product?

If you are not satisfied with your new product, it is possible to return it. For all products, there is a 30-day cooling-off period, which starts on the day you receive the last product of your order. Read more about returning products here. 

What is the delivery time of my order?

Orders are shipped with DHL or FedEx. Check this page for the expected delivery time of your order. 

Is it possible to change my order?

At Isabel Bernard we process orders every day. If your order has not been shipped yet, we can still change it. Has the order already been sent? Then you can use the returns procedure to return or exchange the product. Please contact our customer service as soon as possible. If you wish to return a product, the return costs are at your own expense.
